Michael and his wife of 47 years, Bronwyn have lived in our diverse and rich region for almost all their lives. From the community towns and farms, to the volcanic caves and Great Barrier Reef, Michael knows there is no better place to live than Queensland’s tropical north.
As a Professional Musician for over 40 years and as Festival Director of the Tablelands Folk Festival, Michael has vast experience in boasting what the region has to offer. Active local engagement through the arts and community groups, along with being a successful small business owner, Michael understands the importance of boosting tourism, to support local business and jobs.
The Palaszczuk Government’s successful management of the COVID-19 pandemic means we can now get on with the job of leading the economic recovery. Michael’s vast experience in supporting local business and promoting our region means his best prepared to kick-start our local economy.
