Chris works for the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, in the Mental Health Acute Care Team. Chris and his partner have lived in the Upper Coomera area for sixteen years.
Caring for people is important to Chris, who started his career in nursing in 1980, having completed studies in general nursing, midwifery and mental health. After almost 40 years in healthcare, Chris is now also a qualified health and safety representative.
Through years of work in the community mental health sector, Chris has met with many Gold Coasters, listening to their struggles and understanding their challenges.
Chris saw firsthand the devastation caused by the LNP’s cuts to the health sector and the effect this had on local families. That’s why Chris is committed to fighting for accessible health care and local jobs.
Chris understands the importance of listening to the community and fighting for local infrastructure funding.
