Daniel Bevis is the Labor Candidate for the Brisbane City Council 2020 Election for The Gap Ward.
Daniel grew up in The Gap and went to school locally at Hilder Rd State School and The Gap State High School. Together with his partner Jessica and two children they have made the ward home.
Daniel understands the needs of the local community and will put residents at the heart of every decision. We need a local fighting for locals in City Hall.
For too long residents have seen local traffic has worsened, our local streets more congested and damage to our green areas, under the LNP Council.
Daniel has dedicated his career to public service, advocacy and community organising. He has taught at a number of nearby schools and worked with Kate Jones MP supporting locals and community groups.
As a long-term local, Daniel enjoys being active in his community. Daniel is the president of the alumni association at the The Gap State High School a school he attended and started his teaching career at, and cares for the local environment being part of The Gap Sustainability Alliance and Save the Gap group.
